1. What is the price of gear motor?
- N20 Gear motor Price on Robocraze:
Gear Motor Name | Price (Inc. GST) |
---|---|
6V N20 600 RPM Miniature Gear Motor | 209/- |
N20 150 RPM DC Motor for Robotics High Torque | 265/- |
Robocraze DC6V 100rpm GM12-N20 Miniature Gear Motor with Metal Gear | 298/- |
2. What does a gear motor do?
- A geared motor is a component that has a mechanism that regulates the speed of the motor and forces it to run at a certain speed. Geared motors can deliver high torque at low speeds, as the gearbox acts as a torque multiplier, allowing small motors to produce high speeds. The N20 gear motor is a miniature DC motor with a built-in gear. The gearbox greatly reduces the speed of the output shaft, allowing great torque from this small motor.
3. How to calculate the rpm of a geared mini motor?
- To calculate the RPM of an Micro gear motor, multiply the frequency in hertz (Hz) by 60 (seconds in a minute). Then divide by the motor poles: (Hz x 60 x 2) / poles = idle speed.
