Designing a STEM Lab
A well-designed STEM lab should promote student collaboration and hands-on learning. Open layouts work best for movement and group work.
Furniture should include height-adjustable benches, mobile workstations, and ergonomic seating. Sufficient cabinets help keep materials organized. Bright colors, natural light, and good ventilation improve engagement and comfort.
Display surfaces like whiteboards are essential for explaining ideas, showcasing student work, and encouraging brainstorming, making the environment both functional and inspiring.
STEM & Robotics Lab Setup Guidelines
Setting up a STEM or Robotics lab begins with securing a dedicated space of 400 to 1,200 sq. ft. to support hands-on activities and teamwork. Proper infrastructure includes sturdy workstations (preferably adjustable and mobile), computers with minimum i5 processors and 8GB RAM, and a stable 50Mbps internet connection. The STEM robotic lab should also have organized storage, multimedia tools like smart boards or projectors, and basic safety STEM lab equipment such as fire extinguishers, gloves, and goggles to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Robocraze's STEM Curriculum
Our STEM curriculum is thoughtfully designed to be progressive, engaging, and aligned with educational best practices, including the goals of NEP 2020. It focuses on building a strong foundation and fostering a love for learning through hands-on exploration and real-world applications.

Foundational Stage (Grades 3-5):
In this stage the curriculum focuses on fundamental scientific principles, basic electronics, simple machine mechanics, and an introduction to visual block-based coding. Activities are designed to be highly interactive, encouraging creative thinking, teamwork, and the joy of discovery.

Preparatory Stage (Grades 6-8):
In this level the curriculum emphasizes practical electronics, an introduction to sensors and actuators, building and programming basic robotics kits, and developing intermediate coding skills through project-based learning. The focus is on solving simple real-world problems and understanding how different STEM disciplines connect.

Advanced Stage (Grades 9-10+):
This stage prepares students for more complex challenges and future technologies. The curriculum covers advanced robotics programming, an introduction to text-based coding languages (like Python), foundational concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
