Motor Selection Guide by Shaft Type & RPM
- Shaft type: Choose single-shaft if you want one side drive; choose dual-shaft if you want output on both ends for wheels or spin mechanisms.
- RPM (Rotations Per Minute): Lower RPM (eg. 60 RPM) gives high torque and slow speed — ideal for robot bases. Higher RPM (eg. 300 RPM) gives more speed, less torque — good for toys, fans or wheels.
- Voltage & torque match: Typical BO motors operate around 3-12 V. Lower voltage reduces speed; higher voltage (within spec) can give more torque but ensure heat & currents are safe.
