Robotics: Drive robot wheels, arms or grippers using gear motors at ~60-100 RPM for good control and torque.

3D Printers / Mechanisms: Use moderate-speed gear motors for filament feed, build platform motion or secondary movements where torque is needed but speed moderate.

Wiring & Connection Guide

Power supply: Match the motor’s rated voltage (e.g., 3 V, 6 V, 12 V) and ensure the power supply can handle the current.

Motor driver/bridge: Use an H-bridge (e.g., L298N) or MOSFET driver to control direction and speed (via PWM) since gear motors draw higher current especially at load.

Direction control: Wire “IN1/IN2” (or equivalent) on driver to microcontroller digital pins for reversing motor direction. Use “ENA/ENB” pins for enabling and speed control (via PWM).

Mounting the motor: Secure the motor body to your chassis using mount holes/brackets. Make sure the output shaft is properly aligned with wheels, gears or couplers to avoid misalignment or mechanical stress.

Shaft coupling & output: If using dual-shaft motors, mount wheels on both ends or use one end for output and the other for balancing. For single-shaft, ensure the shaft is connected neatly to gear, pulley or wheel.

Testing & safety: Test at low speed under no load first. Monitor motor for heating. If the motor stalls or overheats, reduce load, check gear ratio or supply.
