The RPLIDAR A1M8 is like a pair of eyes for your robot, letting it see everything in a full circle around itself. This advanced 360 Degree LiDAR Scanner spins around and uses a laser to quickly measure distances to objects up to 12 meters away.
It creates a digital map of its surroundings, which is super useful if you're building a robot that needs to move around a room, avoid bumping into things, or even clean your house automatically. It takes up to 8000 distance readings every single second, so the maps it makes are quite detailed.
Students and hobbyists will find this 12m Laser Range Scanner fantastic for all sorts of cool projects, especially for learning about robot navigation and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping – which means the robot can figure out where it is while making a map at the same time).
