This smart LCD kit is a 3D printer 128×64 Smart LCD controller for ramps 1.4 and contains the following components:

  • SD-Card reader
  • Rotary encoder
  • 128×64 LCD display

You can easily connect it to your Ramps board using the "smart adapter". After connecting this panel to your Ramps you don't need your pc anymore, the Smart Controller supplies power for your SD card. Furthermore, all actions like calibration, axes movements can be done by just using the rotary encoder on the Smart Controller. Print your 3D designs without PC, just with a g-code design stored on the SD card.

This panel connects to your RAMPS 1.4 All further operations, such as calibration, the axis movement can be done with the rotary encoder embedded. The SD card slot is integrated at the back so that the files to be printed can be read here. It is used to use since all you need to do is plug and play on the RAMPS.

1. How to use a 12864 Graphic Smart Display in 3D printer?

  • This fully graphical smart controller includes an SD card reader, rotary encoder, and 128 x 64 dot matrix LCD display. It can be easily connected to the RAMPS board with the included "smart adapter". Connect this panel to the RAMP and you won't need a computer, the smart controller will power the SD card. Moreover, all actions such as calibration, axis movement, etc. can be easily performed with the rotary encoder of the smart controller. 2. How to configure a 12864 Graphic Smart Display?

  • To configure a 12864 Graphic Smart Display with Arduino, follow the steps below.
  1. Download and install U8glib to your Arduino's IDE library.
  2. Edit Configuration.h in Marlin firmware, Search and Uncomment.
  3. Compile and Upload the firmware.
  4. Turn off the power and restart the Arduino and that's it.
