1501MG Metal Steering Gear
Power HD's 1501MG metal-geared analogue servo delivers extra-high torque normally associated with much more expensive or larger servos. Servo horns and the necessary hardware are included.
The 1501MG is a powerful standard-size servo with metal gears and two ball bearings that can deliver a surprising amount of torque for such a small servo. The 1501MG servo motor operates on standard RC servo pulses, with a running angle of approximately 165° over a servo pulse range of 800 s to 2200 s, and a 10?? (25 cm) cable terminated with a standard JR-style connector that is Futaba-compatible.

1. What is kg on a servo?
- Servo motors are measured in kilogrammes per centimetre (kg/cm), with most hobbyist servo motors rated at 3 kg/cm, 6 kg/cm, and 12 kg/cm. This rating represents the torque of the motor for a pulley with a radius of 1cm, and it decreases as the radius increases.
2. Is a higher kg servo better?
- This torque force specification is measured in ounce inches (oz-in) or kilogramme centimetres and is listed in the servo specifications (kg-cm). The greater the number, the greater the force that the servo can exert.
