The NRF51822 iBeacon Wireless Bluetooth Module is a low-power, multi-protocol wireless system-on-chip (SoC) that is designed for Bluetooth low energy and 2.4GHz ultra-low-power wireless applications. This module is ideal for commercial advertising and indoor location-based services due to its accurate hardware and robust firmware. This NRF is a general-purpose, ultra-low power SoC that is ideally suited for Bluetooth Low Energy and 2.4 GHz proprietary wireless applications. This module is based on Nordic's high-performance wireless SOC chip NRF51822 and is a complete low-cost, low-power design for Bluetooth low-energy applications.
The NRF51822 module is ultra-compact at 20mm diameter and can run from CR1632 coin-cell batteries, making it an ideal solution for wearable devices, IoT sensors, and other battery-operated devices. The NRF51822 is a multiprotocol SoC with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and a 2.4GHz transceiver that supports both chip solutions and module solutions. If you're interested in programming the NRF51822 iBeacon module, note that Core Bluetooth is a fairly low-level framework and not very easy to learn.

The nRF51822 is a versatile System on Chip (SoC) engineered for Bluetooth Low Energy and 2.4 GHz proprietary wireless applications, offering ultra-low power consumption. It integrates a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 CPU, 256/128 KB flash, and 32/16 KB RAM. This single-chip solution is an effective multi-protocol solution for ULP wireless applications.
The nRF51802 is a cost-effective alternative to the nRF51822, with comparable features but slightly reduced performance, including 2 dB less RX sensitivity and marginally higher RX and TX peak currents. The nRF51822 is an established chip in its third edition, while the nRF51802 is a lower-cost variant with a weaker radio and higher current consumption. Both chips are multiprotocol SoCs developed for Bluetooth Low Energy applications.
