Bambu Lab's Automatic Material System (AMS) brings you color, the ultimate manifestation of emotion. You can now experience printing in a variety of colors and materials.
Suitable for most materials, including PLA, ABS, ASA, PETG, and PC.
Without AMS, when the filament runs out, manual spool change disrupts printing and wastes filaments.
With AMS, there is a seamless transfer to a fresh spool, ensuring continual printing and reducing waste.
Automatic spool shifting ensures that your print never stops. With the AMS filament backup function, you never have to worry about running out of filament when sleeping or away, providing a smooth and uninterrupted printing process, reducing filament waste, and boosting energy conservation.
The AMS, powered by a 32-bit MCU, sensor arrays, actuators, and a sophisticated algorithm, has achieved previously unheard-of intelligence. It expertly handles filament loading and unloading, as well as efficient defect identification and recovery.
Filament that has absorbed moisture can cause print quality concerns, poor layer adhesion, and even nozzle clogging, resulting in a failed print.
The AMS has an airtight seal and absorbs moisture using dessicant material to keep it away from the Filament.
A Humidity Sensor detects the humidity inside the AMS and alerts the user when the humidity rises or the dessicant has to be changed.
The greatest print quality requires dry filament.
Bambu Lab filaments employ RFID, which is read by the AMS to automatically identify and apply the optimal parameters for your material.
The RFID tag is immediately linked with Bambu Studio.
