The Waveshare SC09 Two-Way Serial Bus Servo Motor is a compact 2.3kg.cm serial bus servo designed for robotics projects that require precise motion and real-time feedback. Operating from 4–6V, it provides a 300° rotation range with a position sensor resolution of 0.293° (300°/1024) and a no-load speed of 0.1 sec/60° (100 RPM) at 6V.
The servo uses high-precision metal gears and supports both servo mode for accurate angle control and motor mode for continuous rotation, making it suitable for robotic arms, quadruped robots, hexapod robots, humanoid robots, and wheeled robots. Its two-way feedback system can report position, load, speed, and input voltage, enabling closed-loop robotic control.
The SC09 uses digital signal control through half-duplex asynchronous serial communication, supports a baud rate of 38400bps to 1Mbps, and provides an ID range of 0–253, allowing up to 253 serial bus servos to be connected and controlled on a single UART channel when an adequate power supply is used.
