The TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charging Board Type C with Current safety is a small module designed for charging single-cell 3.7V lithium-ion batteries, such as 16550s, that do not have their own safety circuit.

Using the TP4056 charger IC and the DW01 battery protection IC, this lithium battery charger produces a 1A charging current and will automatically stop charging once completed.

Also, if the battery voltage goes below 2.4V, the safety IC will cut off the load to save the cell from functioning at an unacceptably low voltage.

The TP4056 charging module also protects against overvoltage and reverse polarity connections, often sacrificing itself to preserve the battery. Just remember to double-check your connections the first time you put it up.

Your batteries can be safely and easily charged with TP4056 lithium-ion battery charger. All you need to do is connect it correctly, and it will do the rest.

Use the Module Through the Following Steps:

  1. To supply power, either plug in a Type C cable or attach a 5V DC source to the IN+ and IN-labeled pads on the module's left side.
  2. Fasten the battery that has to be charged to the B+/B- pads on the module's right side.
  3. The OUT+/OUT- pads on the right side can also be used to attach a load, or an object that the battery will power.
  4. Keep in mind that while the battery is charging, unplug the load.
  5. When the charging process is finished, the green LED will turn on, while the red
  6. LED will illuminate to signify that the charge is ongoing.
  7. Be careful to never charge your battery at a rate exceeding 1C

Note:

Please remember the following crucial information:

  • The module's 5V input side is the only one to which the ampere meter should be attached.
  • A charging current of around 37% of the battery's capacity is advised. 
  • A 400mAh charging current is adequate for a 1000mAh battery.
  • Make use of reasonably thin connecting cables.
  • Verify the security of the connecting point.
  • It is usual for the current to decrease below 1000mA if the input voltage is greater
  • than 5.2V. 
  • In order to shield the chip from harm, this protective function immediately lowers
  • the charging current.
  • Reverse polarity should be avoided at all costs.
