SmartElex GSM/GPRS Shield for Arduino - Quectel M66 Module
The SmartElex GSM/GPRS Shield for Arduino - Quectel M66 Module is a compact and reliable Arduino GSM GPRS shield that connects your Arduino board to a cellular GSM network.
With this shield, you can easily send and receive SMS, make and answer calls, or connect to the internet via GPRS.
Powered by the robust Quectel M66 GSM GPRS module, it comes equipped with essential components like a SIM card holder, cellular antenna, Bluetooth 3.0 with antenna, and a 3.5mm audio jack for voice communication.
The shield communicates through a serial interface using standard AT commands, making integration simple and efficient.
Whether you’re building an IoT system, a remote monitoring device, or a mobile communication project, the SmartElex GSM/GPRS Shield offers a complete and user-friendly solution for your next Arduino-based GSM project.
Instructions to Use:
Jumpers: There are two RX and TX jumpers on board. If both jumpers are connected, the shield's RX and TX are linked to the Arduino D2 and D3 pins, respectively. Use Arduino's software serial library.
The jumpers are connected as follows:
- RX of Shield Arduino TX (D2)
- Shield RX (D3)
- And Shield D7 power pin.
For Arduino Mega:
- After mounting the shield on the Mega, remove two jumpers from the shield called TX and RX.
- In addition to the jumper, there is a three-pin male header labeled TX & RX, which corresponds to the TX and RX pins of the GSM chip.
- By attaching a jumper wire to the 3 pin Male header, you can communicate with the GSM shield using any other controller.
- For Arduino Mega, connect the shield's RX pin to the Mega's D2 pin and the shield's TX pin to the Mega's D10.
- Modify the following line in the sample code: SoftwareSerial mySerial(10,2).
