1. How do I use this module?
- For getting started with this CAM Module, make the following connection between FTDI Module and the module. Connect the 5V & GND Pin of ESP32 to the 5V & GND of the FTDI Module. Connect the Rx to UOT and the Tx to UOR Pin in the same way. And, most importantly, the IO0 and GND Pins must be shorted together.
2. How do I know if my ESP32 cam is working?
- If your device has no or a poor Wi-Fi connection, the external antenna may be enabled. It should work fine if you connect an external antenna to the connector. Check that the antenna connector's jumper 0K resistor is in the correct position for the desired antenna.
3. Does it have Bluetooth?
- Yes, it is based on the ESP32-S module, so it shares the same specifications. It has the following features: 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Bluetooth 4.2 with BLE
4. What is the ESP32 Cam Module?
- This is a WIFI+ Bluetooth dual-mode development board that uses PCB onboard antennas and cores based on ESP32 chips. It can work independently as a minimum system. ESP integrates WiFi, traditional Bluetooth, and BLE Beacon, with 2 high-performance 32-bit LX6 CPUs, 7-stage pipeline architecture, main frequency adjustment range 80MHz to 240MHz, on-chip sensor, Hall sensor, temperature sensor, etc.
5. What is the use of SD cards in the ESP32-CAM board?
- The camera board has a built-in SD card connector which can be used to connect a microSD card. We'll use this development board to take photos and save them to the MicroSD card. The photos taken will also be saved in the camera flash memory. This will assist us in determining the number of photographs taken.
6. How do I use it to take a picture?
- Type the camera IP Address into your browser. Then, to take a new photo, click "CAPTURE PHOTO" and wait a few seconds for the image to be saved in SPIFFS. The page will then update with the most recent saved photo if you press the "REFRESH PAGE" button.
