Quad 2 Input NOR Gate IC - CD4001
The CD4x Series CD4001 IC is a quad, 2-input NOR gate IC. It is a monolithic CMOS transistor-based IC having efficient source and sink capabilities. Circuits that use this IC can be easily operated using the battery as CD4001 is a low-power consumption IC. A 14-pin DIP package, this IC can work at temperatures up to 1250. The circuit in this project is built around a commonly used CD4001 IC and a few more discrete components.
CD4001 NOR gates provide the system designer with direct implementation of the NOR function and supplement the existing family of CMOS gates. All inputs and outputs are buffered. The CD4001 types are supplied in 14-lead hermetic dual-in-line ceramic packages (F3A suffix).
