7Semi OPT4048 Tristimulus Color Sensor Module I2C
This high-precision tristimulus color sensor module from 7Semi incorporates the OPT4048 from Texas Instruments to deliver professional-level ambient color sensing. The sensor provides calibrated CIE 1931 XYZ tristimulus values, correlated color temperature ( CCT), and ambient illuminance in lux, featuring robust infrared rejection.
Built for display calibration, ambient light detection, and color-sensitive automation systems, this breakout board features a 3.3V I²C interface and works with microcontrollers such as ESP32, Arduino, and STM32. The 4-channel detection offers industry-leading 2.15 mlux resolution and a dynamic range of up to 144 klux, making it perfect for precise color measurement across diverse lighting conditions.
Features:
- High-Precision Color Measurement: Aligns with CIE 1931 tristimulus spectra for precise color detection.
- Four optical channels: the XYZ tristimulus channels plus a broad-band clear channel.
- High-Speed I2C Interface: Enables data transfer speeds up to 2.6 MHz.
- Dynamic Range: 2.15 to 144 klux, with automatic adjustment.
- 12 Adjustable Conversion Times: Each channel can be set between 600 microseconds and 800 milliseconds.
