What is a Berg strip?

Berg Strip is a popularly found connector in all kinds of circuit boards. It is also called a Berg Stick because of its stick-like structure. Berg Strip was initially designed by the Berg Electronics Corporation in Missouri.

The Berg Strip is very light and closely packed and it can be easily assembled to a circuit board. A feature of the Berg Strip is that unlike other connectors the user can modify the connector module to his requirement. The Berg Strip can be easily cut off into small pieces consisting of the required pin numbers, and then the pieces can be arranged in a single row or in a row-and-column manner. This liberation makes the Berg Strip an all-time favorite of circuit makers.

Uses and Applications of a Berg Strip

Berg strips can transmit both power and data almost all circuit module, including GSM modules, GPS modules, Xbee modules, LCD modules, and circuit boards, use a Berg strip as connectors. Berg strips are available in two main forms namely male and female connectors, and each has a predetermined number of pins. The designer then removes all but the required pins and links them to the circuit board. It can also be used as a wire-to-board connector, this can be done by simply soldering one of the connector pins to the wire and securing the other connector to the circuit board. It can also function as a wire-to-wire connector if one solders wires to the pins on both sides of the pair. They are commonly used as board-to-board connectors. This is done by soldering the male connector around the perimeter of the circuit board and the female connector is assembled wherever another board is to be connected.

They are designed for high dependability and quick assembly. They are also affordable connectors.

Types of Berg strip available

1. 40x1 Female Berg Strip

40x1 Female Berg Strip

40x1 Female Berg Strip

40x1 Female Berg Strip Berg strip has an Industry standard spacing of 2.54 mm that is Intended for direct soldering into printed circuit boards. They are used mostly for extending the pins of microcontrollers and ICs.

This 40xl Berg Strip Female Connector is intended for use with custom PCBs or general-purpose custom headers. This connector can be cut to the length required according to the application. This pin header is a perfect connector for PCB boards and integrated circuits, which are generally used in computers and breadboards. It has a pitch of 2.54 which means that the distance between two pins is 2.54. This 40-pin connector with a 2.54mm pitch can be used with any of our LCD, OLED, or VFD modules, as well as any PCB that requires pin headers.

2. 40X1 Male Berg (90 Degree)

40XI Male Berg (90 Degree)

40XI Male Berg (90 Degree)

40X1 Male Berg is a 40x1 Pin Male Right Angle Break Away Header. It has an industry-standard spacing of 2.54 mm that is intended for direct soldering into printed circuit boards. They are most suitable for extending the pins of microcontrollers and ICs. This 40x1 Berg Strip Male Right Angle Connector is designed for use with custom PCBs and general custom headers. This connector can be cut to the length needed. This pin header is an ideal connector for PCB boards and integrated circuits, which are typically used in computers and breadboards. It has a pitch of 2.54 (the distance between two pins).

This 40-pin connector with a 2.54 mm pitch can be used with any of our LCD, OLED, or VFD modules, as well as any PCB that requires pin headers.

The size of the header pins should match the size of the header holes, else, the connection will be loose. To achieve the actual number of needles used, it can be cut according to different needle number requirements. Choose the header based on the number of pins and pin spacing required and insert it directly into the breadboard to connect them together.

3. 40x2 Pin 2.54mm Pitch Male Berg Strip

40x2 Pin 2.54mm Pitch Male Berg Strip

40x2 Pin 2.54mm Pitch Male Berg Strip

40x2 Pin 2.54mm Pitch Male Berg Strip is a 40x2 Pin Male Break Away Header, it has an industry-standard spacing of 254mm that is intended for direct soldering into printed circuit boards. They are most suitable for extending the pins of microcontrollers and ICs. This 40x2 Berg Strip Male Connector is intended for use with custom PCBs or general-purpose custom headers. This connector can be cut to the length needed. This pin header is an ideal connector for PCB boards and integrated circuits, which are commonly used in computers and breadboards. It has a pitch of 2.54 which means that the distance between two pins is 2.54. This 40-pin connector with a 2.54 mm pitch can be used with any of our LCD, OLED, or VFD modules, as well as any PCB that requires pin headers.
