Waveshare Power Management HAT (B) for Raspberry Pi – Power Management Module
The Waveshare Power Management HAT (B) for Raspberry Pi is a compact power management and control board designed to provide more reliable and flexible power control for Raspberry Pi projects. It uses an RP2040 dual-core Arm Cortex M0+ processor with a clock speed of up to 133 MHz and communicates with the Raspberry Pi through UART + GPIO, with a default baud rate of 115200 bps.
The board supports 5V USB power input or 3.3–4.2V through the PH2.0 connector, suitable for a 3.7V lithium battery. Its onboard PCF85063 RTC provides accurate timekeeping, while the MP28167-A buck-boost DC chip enables fast load transient response when switching between power sources.
A dedicated voltage/current monitoring circuit allows the Raspberry Pi operating voltage and current to be monitored in real time. The HAT also includes power supply anti-reverse and counter-current protection, along with a user-defined button for functions such as startup and safe shutdown.
Measuring 56.5 × 65.0 mm with 3.0 mm mounting holes, this Raspberry Pi power management HAT is well suited for embedded systems, automation projects, portable Raspberry Pi applications, and projects that require controlled power operation.
