- Step 1: Sign up for an TTN account account on The Things Network website.
- Step 2: If you're using a gateway, register it on TTN to enable communication with your devices.
- Step 3: Create an application on TTN where you'll manage your devices and receive data.
- Step 4: Add your device to the TTN application. This involves providing device-specific information and obtaining a unique device ID.
- Step 5: Configure your device to join the network using Over The Air Authentication (OTAA). This involves exchanging cryptographic keys with the network server for secure communication.
- Step 6: Once your device is registered and authenticated, you can start sending data from your device to your TTN application. This data will be received and processed by TTN, making it accessible for further analysis or integration with other services.
3. Does LoRaWAN need SIM card?
No, LoRaWAN does not require a SIM card. It is a low-power, long-range wireless protocol operating on specific frequencies (900MHz in the Americas/ANZ and 868MHz in Europe/Asia). To access LoRaWAN networks, all you need is a LoRaWAN radio and a unique ID.
