10K Thermistor Temperature Sensor Module(4 Pin)
The 10K NTC Thermistor temperature sensor module is a low-cost, small-size module. It is very sensitive to ambient temperature. It is generally used to detect the temperature of the surrounding environment. Through potentiometer adjustment, it is possible to change the temperature detection threshold.
DO output can be directly connected to the microcontroller to detect high and low, by detecting temperature changes in the environment. The temperature detection range of the module is between 20 and 80 degrees Celsius. This sensor module can be replaced with a line temperature sensor for controlling the water temperature, water tank, etc.
Generally, the 4-wire method of thermistor measurement is the most accurate because there is effectively no current flowing in either of the measurement cable wires and therefore no added resistance due to the cable wires.
Module instructions:
- A thermistor module is sensitive to the environment temperature and is commonly used to detect the temperature of the surrounding environment.
- The potentiometer adjustment can change the temperature detection threshold (i.e., temperature control), such as the need to control the environment temperature is 50 degrees, while the module corresponding environmental temperature to the green light, the DO output high level, below the set temperature, the output high level, green light don’t.

1. Are all 10K thermistors the same?
- There are no industry or government standards for thermistors. There are at least five 10K thermistor temperature versus resistance curves in the HVAC/R world. All thermistors have a resistance of 10,000 ohms at 77°F or 25°C but vary significantly away from 77°F. There are many different types of thermistors, but they work on the same principle of changing resistance with temperature. There are basically two categories of thermistors and all types are applicable. NTCs and PTCs. You can choose one thermistor over another depending on your specific application.
2. What does 10K mean in a thermistor?
- There are at least five 10K thermistor temperature versus resistance curves in the HVAC/R world. All thermistors have a resistance of 10,000 ohms at 77°F or 25°C but vary significantly away from 77°F. A 10K resistor will always limit the current to 10,000 ohms. However, a 10K thermistor only limits current to 10,000 ohms at 25°C. At temperatures as high as 50°C, the thermistor limits only 3,900 ohms.

- A thermistor is a heat-sensitive resistor whose primary function is to exhibit large, predictable, and precise changes in electrical resistance when subjected to corresponding changes in body temperature. A 10K ohm NTC thermistor is a special type of resistor that changes value depending on the ambient temperature. It is made by combining multiple metal oxides. NTC (negative temperature coefficient) type thermistor. A 10k NTC thermistor exhibits a resistance of 10k ohms at 25°C and has a negative relationship between temperature and resistance.
