1 CH 5V Active Low Relay Board

The 5V 1-channel relay module works with a 5V to 12V TTL control signal. It is perfect for controlling home appliances and for use in microcontroller projects. It can handle a 220V AC load, so you can use it to control motors, LED strips, or other devices.

This single-channel relay acts like a regular switch, keeping its contacts separate from the circuit it controls. It has an LED light to show when the relay is ON and accepts input from a 3-5V microcontroller.

The output terminals connect to the relay, and there’s a 2x3-pin male header for easy wiring. You can power it with an external 5V source or through the male header. The relay board can handle up to 5A at 240V AC.

Note: It is important that the microcontroller shares ground with the relay board along with other control signals else it will not be able to control the relay.

1. What is 5V 1 channel relay?

The 1 Channel 5V Relay Module provides a single relay that can be controlled by any 5V digital output from your microcontroller. The relay is accessible using screw terminals and can handle up to 2A of current. A handy LED indicates the status of the relay.

2. What is a single-channel relay module?

The Single Channel Relay Module is a convenient board that can be used to control high voltage, and a high current load such as motor, solenoid valves, lamps, and AC load. It is designed to interface with microcontrollers such as Arduino, PIC and etc.

3. How do relay boards work?

Relay boards are computer boards with an array of relays and switches. They are designed to control the voltage supply and have input and output terminals. Relay boards provide independently programmable, real-time control of multiple onboard relay channels.

4. What is the use of 1 channel 5V relay module?

A 1 channel 5V relay module is a powerful and versatile tool for controlling high-voltage or large current electronic devices using low voltage microcontrollers. With its compact size and efficient design, this relay module serves as a reliable interface between the control system and the controlled device in various industrial automation applications. It can easily switch AC or DC loads up to 10A with input signals from sensors, buttons, relays, or switches. This makes it an essential component for home automation systems, security systems, robotics projects and more. Its simple installation process combined with its affordable price point make it suitable for both professional engineers and DIY enthusiasts alike.

5. What is the working principle of 5V relay?

A 5V relay is an essential component in various electronic devices, from household appliances to industrial machinery. Its working principle involves a low voltage coil that creates a magnetic field when activated by an external signal or control unit. This magnetic field then attracts the armature and closes the circuit of higher voltages, allowing current to flow through and power up the device. The use of relays eliminates the need for directly connecting high-voltage circuits with delicate control units, providing safety and versatility in multiple applications. With its reliable operation and compact design, it has become a preferred choice for designers seeking efficient solutions without compromising on performance.
