The Waveshare Industrial Isolated USB to 4-Channel RS485 Converter (B) is an industrial-grade USB to RS485 converter designed to connect and communicate with multiple RS485 serial devices through a single USB interface. Powered by the CH344L chip, it provides stable communication across 4 isolated RS485 channels with a baud rate range of 1200bps to 460800bps.
The converter uses a 5V USB-B interface and provides hardware automatic direction control for convenient data transmission. Its isolated design combines power isolation and digital signal isolation to improve reliability and reduce interference, while built-in 600W lightning/surge protection, 15KV ESD protection, a 500mA resettable fuse, and protection diodes provide added protection against electrical faults.
The RS485 interface supports point-to-multipoint communication with up to 32 nodes, while the transmission distance can reach approximately 1.2km at low baud rates. A built-in 120Ω termination resistor can be enabled or disabled using the DIP switch.
With an industrial aluminium alloy enclosure, 10 LED indicators, and wall-mount or rail-mount support, this multi-channel RS485 converter is well suited for industrial automation, equipment monitoring, Modbus communication, and other applications requiring reliable multi-device serial communication.
