The Waveshare ESP32-S3-Zero Development Board is a compact ESP32-S3 development board designed for IoT, embedded systems, wireless automation, wearable electronics, smart home devices, and custom PCB projects. It uses the ESP32-S3FH4R2 with an Xtensa® 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor running at up to 240MHz, while providing 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 (LE) for reliable wireless connectivity.
The board comes with 512KB SRAM, 384KB ROM, 4MB Flash memory, and 2MB PSRAM, giving developers a practical combination of processing power and memory for connected applications. Its compact castellated design and onboard ceramic antenna allow the ESP32-S3-Zero to be soldered directly onto a custom carrier board or PCB.
For hardware expansion, it provides 24 configurable GPIO pins, 4 × SPI, 2 × I2C, 3 × UART, 2 × I2S, and 2 × ADC interfaces. A USB Type-C port supports firmware programming and debugging, while the onboard WS2812 RGB LED, BOOT button, RESET button, and ME6217C33M5G 800mA maximum LDO add useful development features.
