The Waveshare ESP32-S3 SIM7670G 4G Development Board combines an ESP32-S3R8 microcontroller with the SIM7670G LTE Cat-1 4G module, providing a practical platform for connected IoT and embedded projects that need cellular connectivity. The ESP32-S3R8 features a 32-bit Xtensa LX7 dual-core processor running at up to 240 MHz, along with 512 KB SRAM, 384 KB ROM, 8 MB PSRAM, and 16 MB Flash.
For wireless communication, the board supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth LE 5.0, while the SIM7670G supports LTE-FDD bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, B28, B66 and LTE-TDD bands B34, B38, B39, B40, B41, with data rates of up to 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
It also provides GNSS positioning through GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and Galileo. With an onboard 24-pin camera interface and OV5640 camera, TF card slot, USB Type-C interface, 18650 battery holder, solar charging interface, battery measurement circuit, and multiple DIP switches, this ESP32-S3 4G development board is well suited for 4G IoT projects, portable Wi-Fi, GPS tracking, outdoor monitoring, smart agriculture, environmental monitoring, server monitoring, and smart home applications.
