Waveshare ESP32-S3 1.69 Inch 240×280 Touch LCD Development Board with Accelerometer & Gyroscope
The Waveshare ESP32-S3 1.69 Inch Touch LCD Development Board is a compact, high-performance ESP32-S3 development board designed for interactive embedded projects, wearable devices, smart interfaces, IoT applications, and rapid prototyping. It is powered by an ESP32-S3R8 Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor with a maximum frequency of 240 MHz, along with 512KB SRAM, 384KB ROM, 8MB PSRAM, and 16MB external Flash.
The board integrates a 1.69-inch capacitive touch LCD with a 240 × 280 pixel resolution and 262K colors, using an ST7789V2 display driver and CST816T capacitive touch controller. For motion sensing, the onboard QMI8658 6-axis IMU combines a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope, making it suitable for detecting movement, orientation, gestures, and step-counting applications.
Wireless communication is provided through 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 (LE), while the onboard PCF85063 RTC supports real-time clock functions. The board also provides a USB Type-C port, buzzer, programmable PWM button, BOOT and RST buttons, a 3.7V MX1.25 lithium battery connector, and reserved GPIO, I2C, and UART interfaces for connecting external peripherals.
