The Waveshare 32-Channel Modbus RTU Relay Module is an industrial-grade RS485 relay module designed for reliable multi-channel equipment control through the Standard Modbus RTU protocol. It provides 32 relay channels, with each relay featuring a 1NO + 1NC contact form and a contact rating of ≤10A 250VAC/30VDC, making it suitable for controlling AC and DC loads within the specified limits.
The module operates from a wide 7–36V DC power supply and supports RS485 communication baud rates of 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 128000 and 256000 bps, with 9600, N, 8, 1 as the default communication format. Its RS485 address can be configured from 1–255, allowing multiple relay modules to be cascaded on the same RS485 bus.
For dependable operation in industrial environments, the module integrates power supply isolation, magnetic isolation, optocoupler isolation, a resettable fuse, TVS protection, reverse-polarity protection and freewheeling diode protection. It also supports flash-on and flash-off relay control through commands, while the STA, TXD and RXD LEDs provide convenient status and communication indication.
The rail-mounted ABS enclosure makes the 32-channel Modbus relay module easy to install and suitable for industrial automation, remote equipment switching, machine control and other applications requiring reliable RS485 relay control.

- Cascade several devices on the RS485 bus with configurable device addresses (1-255).
- Features flash-on, flash-off function, it is possible to turn on the relay for a long time and then close it automatically by the command.
- The onboard voltage regulator chip allows a wide voltage power supply from 7 to 36V.
- Onboard unibody power supply separation delivers stable isolated voltage and does not require an additional power source for the isolated terminal.
- Onboard unibody magnetic isolation provides signal isolation, great reliability, robust anti-interference, and low power consumption.
- Onboard resettable fuse and TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) effectively suppress surge voltage and transient spike voltage in the circuit, providing over-current/over-voltage proof, lightningproof, and anti-electrostatic.
- Onboard Optocoupler isolation protects the relay from interference from high-voltage circuits.
- The driving ability is greater and more steady thanks to the onboard dedicated relay driver chip, which includes freewheeling diode protection.
- Reverse-proof circuit prevents the circuit from being accidently destroyed by an incorrect connection.
- High-quality relay with contact rating of ≤10A at 250VAC/30VDC.
- Rail-mounted ABS enclosure is easy to install and safe to use.
- Three LEDs indicate the MCU state and signal transceiving status.
