SIM908 module is a complete Quad-Band GSM/GPRS module that combines GPS technology for satellite navigation. The compact design which integrated GPRS and GPS in an SMT package will significantly save both time and costs for customers to develop GPS-enabled applications. Featuring an industry-standard interface and GPS function, it allows variable assets to be tracked seamlessly at any location and anytime with signal coverage. The SIM908 is a complete Quad-Band GSM/GPRS module that combines GPS technology for satellite navigation. It is equipped with a powerful GPS receiver and supports GPRS class 10/class 8 GPRS and encodes CS1, CS2, CS3, and CS4. The SIM908 is designed for the international market and is an ideal module for many applications such as M2M, smart phones, PDAs, navigation devices, and other mobile devices.
Some of the features of the SIM908 and similar modules include quad-band GSM/GPRS, high sensitivity GPS receiver, support for voice, SMS, and GPRS data transfer, compact design that integrates GPRS and GPS, low power consumption, control via AT commands, and receiver type accuracy horizontal position: <2.5m CEP.
