The MP-4 Metal Cap Natural Gas & Combustible Gas Sensor Module is a reliable gas sensor module designed to detect natural gas and various combustible gases in industrial, commercial, and DIY monitoring applications. It utilizes metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) sensing technology with an advanced planar construction, featuring a subminiature Al₂O₃ (aluminum oxide) ceramic plate, integrated heater, metal oxide semiconductor sensing material, electrode down-leads, and a durable metal base and cap.
As the concentration of the target gas increases, the sensor's conductivity rises proportionally, allowing a simple electronic circuit to convert this conductivity change into a corresponding output signal representing gas concentration. Its compact design, stable sensing performance, and easy interface make the MP-4 natural gas sensor an excellent choice for gas leak detection, smart safety systems, Arduino projects, ESP32 applications, and Raspberry Pi-based gas monitoring solutions.
