The Elecrow CrowPanel ESP32 5.79 Inch E-Paper HMI Display combines a high-resolution electronic paper display with the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N8R8 microcontroller to provide an efficient platform for low-power embedded applications. Featuring a 5.79-inch Active Matrix Electrophoretic Display (AM EPD) with a resolution of 272 × 792 pixels, it delivers paper-like readability while consuming power only during screen refresh. The reflective display technology eliminates the need for a backlight, and the displayed content remains visible even after power is removed.
Designed for embedded development, the display communicates through a 3-/4-wire SPI interface and includes onboard UART0, BAT connector, GPIO interface, and a TF card slot for expansion. It supports the Arduino IDE development environment and includes onboard controls such as a dial switch, menu button, back button, reset button, and boot button. Its low-power operation, partial refresh capability, and wide viewing angle make it suitable for electronic shelf labels, e-book readers, electronic business cards, smart home devices, and other low-power embedded applications.
