The Cytron Maker Object is a compact digital IR proximity sensor designed for beginners, hobbyists, and robot builders who need reliable object detection or obstacle sensing in their projects. Engineered with a 38kHz modulated IR signal, the Cytron sensor remains immune to ambient light, ensuring stable readings in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Its active-low NPN output, internal pull-up resistor, and easy plug-and-play interface make it ideal for robotics, automation, and DIY electronics projects where simplicity and accuracy matter.
Despite its tiny form factor, the Cytron Maker Object IR sensor offers impressive sensing capability with an adjustable detection range: 15–60 cm for dark surfaces and 40–140 cm for light surfaces.
