74HC151 - 8-Input Multiplexer IC
The 74HC Series 74HC151 is 8 - Input Multiplexer 16 Pin IC. Data Selector/Multiplexer contains full on-chip decoding to select one of eight data sources as a result of a unique three binary code at select inputs. Two complementary outputs provide both inverting and non-inverting buffer operations.
A Strobe input is provided which, when at a high level, disables all data inputs and forces Y output to a low state and W output to a high state. Select input buffers incorporate internal overlap features to ensure that select input changes do not cause invalid output transients. Used for Boolean Function Generator.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES
1.What is IC 74151?
- IC 74151 is a type of integrated circuit (IC) that is used as a data selector or multiplexer. It is a digital IC that is designed to select one of several inputs and pass it through to the output. The 74151 IC is an 8-input, 1-output multiplexer that can be used to select one of eight different inputs and pass it to the output. It has a number of control inputs, including a "select" input and three "address" inputs, which are used to specify the input that should be selected. When the select input is high, the 74151 multiplexer selects the input specified by the address inputs and passes it to the output.
- The 74151 IC is commonly used in digital circuits and systems to allow the selection of one of several different inputs. It is useful in applications where it is necessary to choose between multiple signals, such as in data processing or communication systems.
2.How many multiplexers are there in IC 74151?
- IC 74151 is a type of integrated circuit (IC) that is used as a data selector or multiplexer. It is a digital IC that is designed to select one of several inputs and pass it through to the output. The 74151 IC is an 8-input, 1-output multiplexer that can be used to select one of eight different inputs and pass it to the output. It has a number of control inputs, including a "select" input and three "address" inputs, which are used to specify the input that should be selected. When the select input is high, the 74151 multiplexer selects the input specified by the address inputs and passes it to the output.
3.How do you use 74151 multiplexer?
- The 74151 multiplexer is a digital integrated circuit (IC) that is used to select one of several inputs and pass it through to the output. It can be used in a variety of applications where it is necessary to choose between multiple signals, such as in data processing or communication systems. To use the 74151 multiplexer, you will need to connect the IC to a power source, as well as to the inputs and outputs that you want to use. The 74151 multiplexer has a total of eight inputs, labeled "A" through "H," and one output, labeled "Y." It also has a number of control inputs, including a "select" input and three "address" inputs.
- To select a specific input, you will need to apply a logical "high" or "low" signal to the select input, and apply logical "high" or "low" signals to the address inputs to specify which input should be selected. When the select input is high, the 74151 multiplexer will select the input specified by the address inputs and pass it to the output. For example, if you wanted to select input "C," you could apply a logical high signal to the select input, and logical low signals to the address inputs "A" and "B." This would cause the 74151 multiplexer to pass the signal from input "C" to the output.
