The 7Semi INA240A3 Bidirectional Current Sense Amplifier Breakout is designed for precise current measurement in demanding electronic and industrial applications. Built around the Texas Instruments INA240A3PW current-sense amplifier, the breakout board measures voltage drops across external shunt resistors with a wide common-mode voltage range from -4V to 80V. Its bidirectional sensing capability makes it suitable for applications where current flows in both directions.
The breakout features a fixed gain of 100V/V, allowing small voltage drops across shunt resistors to be amplified for accurate measurement. Enhanced PWM rejection improves measurement accuracy in electrically noisy environments, making the module suitable for motor drives, solenoid control systems, switching power supplies, and other PWM-based applications. Support for negative common-mode voltages also enables current monitoring in systems operating below ground potential.
