7Semi 128Mbit SPI Flash Memory Breakout Board - W25Q128JWSIQ
The 7Semi 128Mbit SPI Flash Memory Breakout Board – W25Q128JWSIQ is a compact and developer-friendly memory solution designed to simplify data storage in embedded and IoT projects.
Built around the reliable Winbond W25Q128JWSIQ IC, this breakout board eliminates the need for delicate chip-level soldering, making it perfect for prototyping and rapid development.
With support for Standard, Dual, and Quad SPI modes and clock speeds up to 133 MHz, it delivers fast and efficient read/write performance. The memory is organized into 65,536 pages of 256 bytes, with flexible erase options including 4KB sectors, 32KB and 64KB blocks, and full-chip erase.
Its space-saving design and low-power operation make it well suited for embedded systems, portable electronics, and industrial automation applications where reliability and efficiency matter.
Features:
- Solder-free operation: Allows direct access to the flash memory chip without the need for soldering, making development and testing workflows more efficient.
- High-Capacity Storage: Provides 128Mbit (16MB) of non-volatile storage, ideal for firmware, data logging, or configuration storage in small systems.
- The SPI and Quad SPI interface supports normal SPI, dual/quad output, and I/O for fast read/write operations at clock frequencies of up to 133MHz.
- Flexible Erase Options: To manage memory efficiently, do selective erasures with 4KB sectors, 32KB or 64KB blocks, or full-chip erase.
- Wide Compatibility: SPI allows for easy communication with a variety of microcontrollers and embedded systems, ensuring smooth system integration.
- Power-efficient design.: Its low power requirements and small footprint make it ideal for portable and low-power applications.
SPI Communication uses the following four wires
- SCK - This is the serial clock driven by the master.
- MOSI - This is the master output / slave input driven by the master.
- MISO - This is the master input / slave output driven by the master.
- CS - This is the slave-selection wire.
