SmartElex Current Sensor Breakout Board – INA169 High-Side Current Detection Module
The SmartElex Current Sensor Breakout – INA169 helps you easily measure how much current is flowing through your circuit. It works on the high-side of your power line, meaning it monitors current from the positive side of your supply - keeping your circuit safer and more stable.
Inside the module, a small shunt resistor is used to detect changes in current. The INA169 chip then converts this into a readable voltage signal, which you can measure with a microcontroller or multimeter. This makes it perfect for projects like battery monitoring, motor control, or DIY electronics where you need to track current accurately.
The board can handle voltages between 2.7V and 60V, making it suitable for both low-power and high-voltage DC applications. It also consumes very little power (only about 60µA in standby), so it’s energy-efficient and ideal for long-running systems.
