Adaptive Vibration Compensation

As a print grows taller and heavier, the machine’s vibration characteristics can change. While many 3D printers perform input shaping only once at startup, the A2L uses Adaptive Vibration Compensation to continuously account for these changes.

Its real-time calibration system considers both toolhead position and the changing weight of the print bed, dynamically refining the resonance model layer by layer as the print progresses. The result is consistent motion control and smooth, precise print quality—from the first layer to the last.

Granular Damper

Software can manage predictable vibrations, while hardware helps control the rest. The A2L features two Granular Dampers built into its gantry, using sealed chambers filled with fine particles to absorb and dissipate vibration through countless micro-collisions.

Inspired by damping methods used in aerospace and precision machinery, this technology is uncommon in desktop 3D printers. It helps minimize surface ripples, ghosting, and vibration-related artifacts, delivering smoother, cleaner prints even at full build height.

Support for 2nd-Gen AMS

Pair the A2L with the 2nd-Gen AMS to keep your filament protected in a sealed, climate-controlled environment. Filament can be dried on demand before printing and kept airtight between uses.

For projects requiring more colors or multiple material types, the AMS lite and 2nd-Gen AMS can be combined using the same embedded buffer system, supporting 4, 8, or up to 16 spools for flexible multi-material printing through a single feeding system.

Consistently Sharp Print Details

Most 3D printers calibrate extrusion flow once and rely on the same settings for every print. The A2L takes a different approach by recalibrating before every job. Its Flow Dynamics Calibration measures how filament flows through the nozzle using the current spool and printing conditions, then creates a nonlinear model of the entire extrusion path.

Factors such as nozzle wear, filament moisture, and residue are accounted for before the first layer is printed. The result is sharper corners, cleaner fine details, and consistent print quality from one job to the next.
