The 7Semi RS485/MODBUS RTU Industrial Environmental Probe is designed for industrial environmental monitoring by measuring air quality, volatile organic compounds (VOC), temperature, and humidity. Built with a digital sensing core, the probe provides stable and consistent measurements for long-term monitoring applications. Its sealed probe construction with a breathable, dust-proof design helps maintain reliable performance in demanding environments.
The probe communicates using the industry-standard RS485 Modbus RTU protocol, enabling seamless integration with PLCs, SCADA systems, IoT gateways, microcontrollers, and building automation systems. Operating from a wide 9–36V DC input range, it is suitable for industrial control panels, remote monitoring systems, HVAC installations, agricultural monitoring nodes, and environmental monitoring stations. Software-configurable Modbus address and baud rate simplify deployment across different automation systems.
The sensor measures VOC concentrations from 0 to 1000 ppm and provides both two 16-bit raw VOC signals and a processed VOC Index ranging from 0 to 500. Temperature and humidity measurements are delivered with high accuracy and fast response times, making the probe suitable for continuous indoor environmental monitoring and industrial air quality applications. The four-wire interface simplifies installation while ensuring reliable communication over RS485 networks.
