The item is a simple and practical Kapton tape, which is mainly made of durable polyimide and silicone materials, easy to use, clean removal, no residue. It is highly resistant to heat and chemicals, puncture and tear resistant at high temperatures and offers optimal performance in electrical and thermal insulation, and it is ideal for protecting sensitive printed circuit board (PCB) components such as gold leads and gold fingers during the process of wave soldering.
This Koptan 50mm x 33m High-Temperature Resistant Tape for 3D Printers is a polyester film tape with a high-temperature resistant adhesive. Primarily used to hold transfer sheets in place while sublimating onto a variety of items and hold the polymer plate on the heating platen in the hot foil stamping. Excellent heat & solvent resistance. Minimal shrinkage after baking and clean removal.
Due to Koptan tape’s large range of temperature stability and electrical isolation ability, it is used during the manufacturing and final assembly of electronic components. It acts as a protective layer that isolates and prevents the electrostatic discharge of sensitive components, also protecting and restraining components during high temp applications and reflow soldering procedures.
