This is A2212 (BLDC) Brushless DC Motor of 2450KV, a high-speed brushless motor designed specifically for Quadcopters, Drones, or toy planes. This brushless DC motor is an outrunner-type motor, which means that the outside case rotates while inside stays fixed. This A2212 2450Kv brushless motor is perfect for small DIY drones and planes.
The 2450Kv brushless motor is best used by DIY enthusiasts and hobbyists when the drone or quadcopter project involved is a low-cost project. You can use this brushless motor when there is a 3 phase connection in order to control the the speed of motor more accurately and smoothly.

About BLDC Motor:
BLDC Motor (Brushless direct current electric motors), also known as electronically commutated motors, are available (ECMs, EC motors). Primary efficiency is a critical feature of BLDC motors. Because the rotor is the sole magnet bearer and does not require any power. That is, there are no connections, no commutator, and no brushes. Instead, the motor makes use of control circuitry. BLDC motors use controllers, rotary encoders, or a Hall sensor to detect where the rotor is at any given time.
Outrunner:
The field magnet is a rotating drum rotor that revolves around the stator. This style is preferred for applications that require high torque but do not require high rpm. These are the motors found on photography multirotors, such as high-powered drones. Brushless DC motors(BLDC) look different depending on who makes them, but they are typically short and stout. Brushless multirotor propellers are almost always mounted directly to the motor shafts.
Pros: BLDC motor or Brushless DC motors are extremely powerful and provide excellent torque without the use of gears. They also have a long lifespan if properly maintained. Brushless motors can operate for much longer periods of time without suffering heat damage than coreless motors (the heat may temporarily reduce the performance of brushless motors, to a degree, but once they cool down, their performance should revert to normal.)
