1. How to use a NEO-7M Flight Controller GPS Module?

Wiring Instructions of Neo Flight Controller GPS Module:

  1. VCC: power supply (3.3-5V)
  2. GND: Ground
  3. TXD: the transmit pin of the module's serial port  (TTL level, can't be directly connected to the RS232 level), can be connected to the RXD of the microcontroller.
  4. RXD: module serial port receiving pin (TTL level, can not be directly connected to RS232 level), can be connected to  TXD of the single-chip microcomputer
  5. PPX: Clock pulse output angle

The NEO-7M GPS module is a self-contained GPS module that utilizes the UART communication protocol and includes an active antenna. It is a highly advanced GPS module that can be easily connected to any microcontroller. The module is equipped with a rechargeable battery and can also be directly linked to a computer using a USB to TTL converter. The NEO-7 series of standalone GNSS modules is constructed on the exceptional performance of the u-blox 7 GNSS engine. With 56 channels, this module provides accurate position updates at a frequency of 10Hz, with a precision of 0.6 meters. It finds applications in various platforms, including Arduino, STM32, C51, and APM.

3. What does Neo-6M GPS module do?

The NEO-6M GPS module is a GPS receiver capable of accurately determining locations anywhere on Earth by tracking approximately 22 satellites. It incorporates a high-performance u-blox 6 positioning engine. The module is equipped with an external antenna and features a built-in EEPROM. It communicates with the microcontroller through serial communication using the TX and RX pins. The module supports baud rates ranging from 4800bps to 230400bps, with a default baud rate of 9600. It enables the retrieval of various GPS parameters such as latitude, longitude, altitude, date, time, speed, and satellite information. Furthermore, the NEO-6M GPS module is compatible with a variety of other microcontroller boards.
