The YF-S401 Water flow sensor is a small device comprising a plastic valve body, a water rotor, and a hall effect sensor. As water flows through the Water flow sensor, the internal rotator changes its speed in accordance with the rate of flow, and the hall effect sensor outputs a series of digital pulses. This allows the flow rate to be accurately measured using a microcontroller.

This Water flow sensor is ideal for use with laser cutters or CNC machines to monitor the flow of water through the laser tube or spindle for cooling. This Water Flow Sensor has a flow rate of 0.3-6 litres per minute and outputs a pulse for every revolution of the pinwheel sensor. These pulses are approximately 2.25 millilitres each and can be easily counted to calculate the water flow.

  • The water flow sensor is made up of a plastic valve through which water can flow. A water rotor and a hall effect sensor are used to detect and measure water flow. When water flows through the valve, it causes the rotor to rotate. The motor's speed can be changed as a result of this.
