The nRF51822 is a versatile System on Chip (SoC) engineered for Bluetooth Low Energy and 2.4 GHz proprietary wireless applications, offering ultra-low power consumption. It integrates a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0 CPU, 256/128 KB flash, and 32/16 KB RAM. This single-chip solution is an effective multi-protocol solution for ULP wireless applications.
The nRF51802 is a cost-effective alternative to the nRF51822, with comparable features but slightly reduced performance, including 2 dB less RX sensitivity and marginally higher RX and TX peak currents. The nRF51822 is an established chip in its third edition, while the nRF51802 is a lower-cost variant with a weaker radio and higher current consumption. Both chips are multiprotocol SoCs developed for Bluetooth Low Energy applications.
