This 11.1v Lithium-Ion battery is a very slim, extremely lightweight battery based on the new polymer lithium-ion chemistry. This Li ion battery is the highest energy density battery currently in production. Each cell outputs a nominal 11.1v. These Li ion batteries require special charging. Do not attempt to charge these with anything but a specialized Lithium-Ion battery charger.

1. Should I charge a lithium battery after every use?
- Lithium batteries, unlike other types of batteries that need to be recharged throughout their storage time, perform better at 40 to 50 percent DOD (depth of discharge). Allow your lithium-based battery to completely discharge after every 30 charges before recharging. This prevents a condition known as digital memory.
2. How do I know when my lithium battery is fully charged?
- The Li-ion battery is fully charged when the current drops to a certain level. Instead of a trickle charge, some chargers apply a topping charge when the voltage drops. The advised charge rate of an Energy Cell is between 0.5C and 1C; the complete charge time is about 2–3 hours.
3. What is the difference between a lithium battery and a lithium-ion battery?
- Lithium batteries are made up of primary cells. This indicates that they are non-rechargeable or single-use. Ion batteries, on the other hand, are made up of secondary cells. This means they may be recharged and used multiple times.
4. When Lithium-Ion batteries are not in use, how do you store them?
- Batteries should be kept out of the sun, heat, and humidity. Maintain a relatively steady temperature in the storage area by keeping it in good ventilation and dry area. Although 59°F is ideal for battery storage, most room temperatures will suffice.
