Witty Fox 11.1V 2200mAh Li-Ion Battery

This 11.1v Lithium-Ion battery is a very slim, extremely lightweight battery based on the new polymer lithium-ion chemistry. This Li ion battery is the highest energy density battery currently in production. Each cell outputs a nominal 11.1v. These Li ion batteries require special charging. Do not attempt to charge these with anything but a specialized Lithium-Ion battery charger.

Battery includes built-in protection against over-voltage, over-current, and minimum voltage. Please use caution when using this battery in wearable projects. A short in the thread can create sparks and heat when using conductive thread.

    • Lithium batteries, unlike other types of batteries that need to be recharged throughout their storage time, perform better at 40 to 50 percent DOD (depth of discharge). Allow your lithium-based battery to completely discharge after every 30 charges before recharging. This prevents a condition known as digital memory.

    2. How do I know when my lithium battery is fully charged?

    • The Li-ion battery is fully charged when the current drops to a certain level. Instead of a trickle charge, some chargers apply a topping charge when the voltage drops. The advised charge rate of an Energy Cell is between 0.5C and 1C; the complete charge time is about 2–3 hours.
