1.How does the input logic of the 74HC30 IC work?

  • The 74HC30 integrated circuit has eight input ports labelled A through H that accept binary logic signals. If all of the gate's input signals are high (logic level 1), the gate's output will be low (logic level 0). The output will be high if any of the inputs are low (logic level 0). (logic level 1).

2.How is the 74HC30 different from the 74HC00 IC?

  • Both the 74HC30 and 74HC00 are NAND gate integrated circuits, but they have different numbers of inputs. The 74HC30 has eight inputs and the 74HC00 has four. Furthermore, the 74HC30 has a "open collector" output that can sink but not source current, whereas the 74HC00 has a "totem pole" output that can source and sink current. Finally, the 74HC30 has a maximum supply voltage of 7 volts, whereas the 74HC00 has a maximum supply voltage of 6 volts.
