    Saumyaa Jain is an accomplished industrial designer with a passion for
    solving real-world problems through innovative and user-centric design. She
    holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Srishti Manipal
    Institute of Art Design and Technology. With over 2-3 years of practical
    experience in the field, Saumyaa has honed her skills in 3D modeling, 3D
    printing, and product development, making her a valuable asset to any
    design team.

Pre-Workshop Requirements:

1. Hardware:

  • Computer: A PC or Mac with at least 8GB of RAM and a multi-core processor.
  • A mouse with a scroll wheel is recommended for easier navigation in 3D software.
  • Internet Connection: Stable broadband internet for attending the live class
  • 3D Printer (Optional): While not mandatory, having access to a basic 3D printer like an Ender 3, Prusa, or any entry-level printer will enhance hands-on learning.


2. Software:

  • 3D Modeling Software: Tinkercad (free and web-based) and Fusion 360 (free and open-source) will be used during the workshop.
  • 3D Printing Software: Cura (free slicing software) for preparing models for 3D
  • Accounts: Participants should create accounts for Tinkercad and download/install Blender and Cura prior to the workshop.
