The SN74LS76N IC is a dual J-K flip-flop with preset and clear options. It has inputs for J, K, Clock Pulse, Direct Set, and Direct Clear. When the clock signal goes HIGH, the inputs are activated, and data is accepted. The IC transfers data to the outputs when the clock goes from HIGH to LOW, as long as the setup time is met. This makes it useful for storing data and controlling states in digital circuits.
